Denise Hoyle was born in Paris and moved to England in 1954. A year later she married printmaker, Walter Hoyle (1922-2000) and the lived in Great Bardfield, Essex with feloow artists, including Edward Bawden. Denise Hoyle received no formal art training but has always used her natural creative ability to make collages, ceramics and paintings. In the 1970's she designed posters for the Post Office Savings Bank.
